Information we collect
- Account and registration information: name, username, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), phone number, gender (optional), profile photo and resume/CV.
- Professional information: headline, skills, experience, location and other details you add to your profile; for employers, company name and details.
- Billing information: company, billing address and payment information. Card payments are processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage information: pages visited, approximate location, IP address and device/browser information.
- Communications: messages you send through the platform, community posts and contact-form submissions.
How we use information
- To provide the service: profiles, job search, applications, matching, messaging and community features.
- To let employers search registered candidates by skills, experience and location, and to share your application with the employer you apply to.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send account, application and job-alert messages you request.
- To keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and spam, and improve our services.
Aggregated job listings
Some jobs on GoTechJob are collected from public job feeds and company career pages and link to the original posting. When you click “Apply” on those jobs, you leave GoTechJob and the third party’s privacy policy applies to your application. Some candidates apply through third-party affiliate partners.
SMS messaging
If you opt in to text messages, we use your mobile number only to send messages about your account and applications. Mobile numbers are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us operate (hosting, database, payments, email), with employers when you apply or make your profile searchable, and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile or hide it from candidate search by turning off “open to work”.
- Delete your account at any time from Settings — your account content is deleted on cancellation.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data. Contact us to exercise them.
Security and retention
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
